Spirit, Take the Wheel
“We are coming to understand health not as the absence of disease, but rather as the process by which individuals maintain their sense of coherence and ability to function in the face of changes in themselves and their relationships with their environment.”
~ Aaron Antonowsky
It amazes me, how when faced with challenges such as cancer, the power and the will that we find within ourselves. Strength that we may have never known existed, suddenly spurs us to make changes in the way we view our lives. The little things are no longer the big things. We learn what is really important to us. What a blessing that is.
I have said it before. I had my Plan B in sight for what I was going to do with the second part of my life. I had the plan in place to do all of the things that I had hidden away as my dreams and I was finally going to make them come true.
Then the diagnosis came. It pulled the rug right out from under me at first. Here I am in limbo again, but the question is, “Am I really?” It took a lot of soul searching and assessment on my part. Only God knows what he has planned for us. Or what lies ahead. I truly believe that I will get through this and come out of it a much stronger woman on the other side. Someone who not only will beat this cancer, but who will become an instrument for even bigger and better things than my original Plan B!
So, all I have to offer to you is this - release the notion of trying to control your destiny. Allow the divine intervention to flow through you, knowing that all will be well. And so it is! Spirit, take the wheel!
Affirmation: I possess the courage needed to change my life for the better and the good. I trust that Spirit is guiding me.
