Office of Public Policy, 3/26/15:
Congrats to our IL advocates, as HB 3605 was voted out of the House Human Services Committee yesterday. House Bill 3605 aims to limit patients’ out-of-pocket expenses for life-saving medication. Many times, patients are asked to pay a high percentage (or co-insurance) of the drug’s total cost which often creates a barrier to access. This legislation would limit the amount a patient would be asked to spend per month, per prescription.
