  1. I make homemade presents (Christmas Eve Tea, Fireside Instant coffee, ornaments & hanging pillows) since I'm on disability & can't afford to buy expensive stuff, plus I don't have the energy to "shop till you drop" any more. People really appreciate that I actually took the time to make their gifts. It's my own little way of going against the "Black Friday" commercialism that's trying to take over the Christmas season.

Here's a picture of one of my "ribbon angel" ornaments: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2294200760643&set=a.2294200560638.2105340.1417773246&type=3&theater

Here's the recipe for my "Christmas Eve Tea":

    1/2 cup Tang
1/4 cup PLUS 2 tablespoons instant tea mix
    1/4 cup sugar
    3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
    1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

Mix all ingredients well. When you're ready to drink, put 1 tablespoon of the mix into a cup & add boiling water.

Here's my recipe for "Fireside Coffee":

    2 cups hot cocoa mix
2 cups Coffeemate creamer (experiment with the flavored ones!)
    1 cup instant coffee (I use Folger's)
1 1/2 cups sugar (or use a sugar substitute)
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Mix well. Use 2 heaping tablespoons of coffee mix to 2/3 cup of boiling water.

    Enjoy!
